Meet the Cobble-Eller Family! They have been an active part of the water skiing world since the 1970s. Together, they have over 100 years of combined coaching experience. ​​

The Coble and Eller family has been an active part of the water skiing world since the 1970s. Gary and Shirley Coble started the Coble family love of waterskiing. Gary coached high school athletics for 18 years prior to becoming April’s, their daughter, full time water ski coach. Shirley won the World Championships in 2022 and has won the US Nationals. She is also a State Record Holder and she and her husband, Gary, along with their daughter April, are all members of the NC Water Ski Hall of Fame. Shirley Coble just retired from competition on both National and International levels but continues to be a integral part of Coble Ski School.

April went on to win 30 plus National Titles, the US Masters, the Malibu Open, Moomba Masters in Australia, and the World Championships! She was named Coach of the Year for USA Water Ski twice as well as USAWS and MasterCraft Athlete of the year. April has been inducted into the NC Water Ski Hall of Fame as well as the USA Water Ski Hall of Fame. April is currently a member of the International Activities Committee.
Chris Eller, April’s husband, is a National 3-event overall champion. He is most well-known though as one of the world’s best boat drivers! Chris has driven for many national ski records as well as the Men and Women World Slalom Records, the Men's Overall World Record, and is a current Pro Tour driver. He was Chief Driver at Nationals in 2023. He trains our drivers here at camp and makes sure they are safe and doing all they can to help the skiers.

Landis Eller, April and Chris' son, also competes nationally as a 3-event skier. Kamryn Eller, their daughter, is actively involved as our camp photographer.​​
